Modern Slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. Company has a zero-tolerance approach toward any form of Modern Slavery. We are committed to conducting our business ethically and in the best interests of all stakeholders, including our authors, contributors, employees, readers, and partners. The Company takes proactive steps to identify and mitigate Modern Slavery risks within our digital publishing operations and supply chain.

  1. Actions We Are Taking

Company has implemented a comprehensive Modern Slavery compliance program modeled on the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (“OECD”) Framework. This program includes the establishment of management systems, risk identification, assessment, and mitigation in our operations, supply chain, and relationships with digital service providers. We periodically review our Modern Slavery risk profile and adjust our approach based on our risk assessments, ensuring that our commitment remains robust and effective.

  1. Risk Identification, Assessment, and Mitigation
  • Risk Identification and Assessment

As a digital media & publications and professional services company specializing in cloud computing, cybersecurity, FinOps, and cloud best practices, Company recognizes that while our direct operations do not traditionally fall into high-risk categories, certain aspects of our supply chain may involve higher-risk regions or activities. Our risk identification involves regularly assessing our compliance risk profile, focusing on our digital product suppliers, service providers, and any associated production or printing processes.

  • Mitigation Efforts and Due Diligence

We have partnered with reputable third-party service providers to conduct due diligence on our supply partners. This includes collecting information about labor practices, especially in regions that have historically posed higher risks for modern slavery. We provide training to our identified suppliers on Modern Slavery compliance, raising awareness and promoting ethical labor practices. Any supplier found to be at high risk will be subject to enhanced due diligence and collaboration to mitigate identified risk factors.

  • Continuous Improvement

Company is committed to continuously improving our Modern Slavery compliance program. We intend to refine the scope of surveyed suppliers and the nature of the information requested. Additionally, we will periodically re-evaluate suppliers previously assessed to detect changes in their risk profile.

  1. Violations of Policy

Company enforces a strict policy against any form of Modern Slavery. Employees, contractors, suppliers, or partners found to engage in activities such as forced labor, human trafficking, or unlawful practices related to recruitment, employment, and working conditions will face disciplinary actions, including contract termination or legal action.

  1. Reporting Questions and Concerns

Team members, authors, suppliers, and other stakeholders are encouraged to report any questions or concerns regarding Modern Slavery to Company’s Office of Ethics and Compliance. Reports can be made anonymously where permitted by law.

  1. Organizational Structure, Business, Operations, and Supply Chains

Company is a leading authoring, digital publishing, and professional services company focusing on cloud computing, cybersecurity, FinOps, certifications, and cloud best practices. Our supply chain includes professional service providers, cloud technology vendors, and digital content distributors, primarily located in the United States and the European Union.

  1. Risks of Modern Slavery in Our Operations and Supply Chains

While the digital nature of our business reduces certain risks associated with traditional manufacturing or product supply chains, we are mindful of potential Modern Slavery risks within our partnerships, particularly with digital vendors, outsourced services, and suppliers in higher-risk geographic regions.
